updated plan with 3 working weeks to go! Including professional practise

 So, slightly over a week later, with 3 working weeks left until hand in I wanted to re-plan, a bit more in depth what is left to do and when it needs doing. The remainder from the previous plan is;

- Updated dummy book

- Blog posts

- Use of colour

- Riso print

- Research into protest art/rebellion targeted towards children

- Cat in the hat - nonsense language 

- Digital pop-up layout

- Construct wooden structure 

- Seed paper

- Character development

- Storyline (text)

- Develop final imagery

- Produce final illustrations & create the double page spreads!

- Project wrap up


Still a fair bit to do with a few additions but it's manageable... probably.


For professional practise I need to cut everything out with the laser cutter and put it all together (keyrings) and edit my CV for another business card, collect work for my portfolio and build the website...


In terms of what needs doing and when;

- Monday 24th (today) - finish pop-up testers, digitally & start on the dummy book

- Tuesday 25th - laser cutter & construct wooden structure & keyrings & finish dummy book

- Wednesday 26th - tutorial & portfolio prep ahead of portfolio review 

- Thursday 27th - portfolio review & finish any final prep for the dummy book & begin with final illustrations

- Friday 28th - continue with final illustrations for book

- Saturday 29th - research for website and any other research for professional practise 

- Sunday 30th - build website (may need to finish it off here and there throughout the following week)

This is as far as I can really go with the plan at current as I need to see where I'm at with the final illustrations so that I know how much more time they need (hopefully only an extra day or two) before I can start printing and constructing.

Fairy tale world research

 Shrek -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsqpVl0TVek&ab_channel=KhoiTran Shrek is a great example of a fairy tale world that has both high levels of creativity but also connections to real life - some items of food recognisable (both as food and as non-food related items - eyeballs as olives) with quirky twists, animals that are recognisable (donkeys, mice, pigs etc.) with the difference being that all animals can talk.
