Further research - new thoughts

 I found some really useful information last time I did generalised research and I had a few additional thoughts to look into, for example how much energy a google search uses, how much of plastic pollution is caused from littering, seed paper and so on.

That's really interesting, the internet isn't something that we can exactly stop using, given just how much of life is centred around the internet but it's interest to know and something to be aware about. As a subject that I haven’t looked into before, facts like this are genuinely interesting and quite an eye opener and does make you think about what you are doing.

Also good to know!

This is very much what I am aiming for with my project! A way that those reading the book can actually engage and feel as if they have a way to help improve the world we live in.

Not necessairly relevant to children but still good context and something to be aware of.

Careless actions - adopting the thought process that what you do won't/doesn't have an impact is a big thing that needs to change! No matter how big or small you are, you can make a difference is the message that I am trying to push.

- water bottles, cutlery, food wrapping & chewing gum! Very simple everyday things that are easy to change.

Seemingly a large bunch of random stuff that won't go anywhere but all these facts, figures and visuals gives me a good folundation to build accurate and informative illustrations & story line. I will go through all this material alongside my previously collated research as I develop the project but I believe I found everything I wanted/needed too, alongside a few handwritten notes as well;

I have also emailed Jetsam, to see if they have any information published at all on the importance of combatting plastic polution so hopefully I will have an answer form them soon which I can combine with a few slides I did last year around the Reveloution Plastic talk that happened at the same time as the launch of the app.
