Update, following a break for Christmas

 So, already said diary posts every other day have not happened, due to a number of reasons - I have content for a couple ready to go, just haven’t done them yet, from general life. I shall, come the new year get onto actually posting every day or every other day because I need to get it moving and make some solidified decisions. For now, I’ve got a small amount of research gained from Waterstones, which I went too for Christmas shopping:


Obviously I can’t engage with all the items at a shop as much as I can in somewhere like the board game cafe but it’s a good source of inspiration, to see what is currently on the market and successful enough to be in mainstream retail.

Story writing really seems to be popular at present, with a lot of the books and games having some connection to it which is interesting and something I was thinking of including. I want to include as many interactive elements as I can really, to reach maximum engagement.

Fairy tale world research

 Shrek -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsqpVl0TVek&ab_channel=KhoiTran Shrek is a great example of a fairy tale world that has both high levels of creativity but also connections to real life - some items of food recognisable (both as food and as non-food related items - eyeballs as olives) with quirky twists, animals that are recognisable (donkeys, mice, pigs etc.) with the difference being that all animals can talk.
